We are looking for university teams to tackle a real-world connected aircraft problem and develop a UAV system to solve their identified problem. The 2020 Mission challenges teams to design a new rapidly deployable Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system to support the wildfire-fighting mission. Register now through December 2, 2019 to participate in the 2020 SAE AeroConnect Challenge.

The Learn Twice Special Initiative connects teams that participate in SAE AeroConnect Challenge with teachers who use the A World In Motion (AWIM) program by having the teams volunteer to support the teacher in their implementation of one of the AWIM challenges in the classroom. In return for their participation the SAE AeroConnect Challenge team will be reimbursed for the SAE AeroConnect Challenge registration fee after they complete their volunteer commitment in the classroom, which is a minimum of 30 to

Registration Now Open for 2020 SAE AeroConnect Challenge!

University teams may begin registering for the 2020 SAE AeroConnect Challenge at www.sae.org. The $1,500 registration fee is non-refundable and must be paid within 48 business hours. In a university requires check payment, proof of payment initiation must be submitted to [email protected] within 48 business hours. Each university may register up to 2 teams, however separate entry fees are required for each team participating.
